Nicky Sunflower is a creative catalyst, independent musician, published poet, and community builder. Born in the UK in 1986 - Nicky moved to Florida in 2018 - just five weeks before Hurricane Michael. Driven by a deep love for artistic authenticity, astrology, and the rhythms of nature, Nicky pairs a vibrant, expressive creative energy with a grounded dedication to intentional living. Whether performing live music, hosting local events, or weaving words onto the page, her work is dedicated to keeping things real, fostering deep connection, and creating spaces where art and community can bloom together. Rhymes, Reasons, and Roses is her debut poetry collection and she intends to write many more poetry books and more!
For the past three years, Nicky Sunflower has been a leader and host in the local arts scene, hosting vibrant poetry nights at different venues all around Panama City. These gatherings were created to give local writers, dreamers, and creators a safe, welcoming space to step up to the mic and share their raw truths. Its important that we keep the art of poetry and spoken word alive, raw and authentic.
Nicky Sunflower has been a dedicated voice in the local arts scene, creating welcoming, safe spaces for writers and creators to share their voices. You can find her hosting the community every Wednesday night for the open mic at Thistle & Thorne in downtown Panama City, keeping the local creative heartbeat alive and giving dreamers a place to step up to the mic.

Behind every lyric and every page is a commitment to raw expression. No filters, no shortcuts—just honest storytelling rooted in the human experience. From high-energy, stripped-down rock melodies to the intentional stillness of poetry, the goal is always the same: to connect, to provoke thought, and to share a piece of the soul. Debut book Rhymes, Reasons and Roses now available from the web store, amazon or from me in person at my events.

True connection doesn't happen behind a screen; it happens when we gather in real spaces, share our voices, and exchange energy. From local festivals that bring independent music to life to intimate creative circles where new ideas find their footing, these moments are designed to build a supportive tribe. This isn't just about putting on a show or hosting a gathering—it's about creating a safe, reciprocal space where art thrives, local voices are amplified, and everyone has a seat at the table.
